Marius Verster Dont break things that is not ours

I cannot decide to drive over a red robot because it is taking too long. That will break the process (the flow of traffic). The same is with marriage. It is not 'man made'(man did not invent it) and therefore not there for man to break it. What a sorrowful situation

Anton Vreulink Short term marriage 'contracts'

Interesting concept. The key issue to address in such contracts is responsibility for the subsequent consequences,- children and associated moral + social issues. Anton Vreulink

Gary Bradshaw Surely marriage is covenental and not contractual

I believe that divorce is caused by the fact that too many people treat marriage as contractual and not covenantal. The fundamental aspect of covenant is unconditional commitment and love, which allows confrontation where we fail each other, which in turn allows forgiveness to flow. Contractual relationships and short term marriage is an oxymoron and really isn't marriage at all!

Sechaba Letaba Short Term Marriage

This is brilliant. All new lovers must be encouraged to go this route. This way even the Catholoc Church with its divorce rules might accept.
