Wolfgang Grulke Pricing on eBooks and eMusic finally being challenged

Almost a year ago we published a MindBullet on this topic and since then some ePrices have soared. This a serious rip-off and it's high time that serious consumer action challenges the Apple and Amazon hegemony. The simple fact is that an e-version of most things can be sold at 20% of the physical version with the same profit margin. It's always the intermediaries that cry foul! Finally this week the press is all over it.

Doug Vining Apple's e-book price scam

Is Apple the villain, or are they at the mercy of the publishers? Either way, e-books are going to become increasingly shared between friends, and the whole piracy problem that affected the music industry will happen to books, unless they get the pricing model right.

A storm is brewing, as can be seen in this article:

Neil Jacobsohn Now you can publish that book!

Everyone has a book in them, so the saying goes - and now it is becoming super-easy to publish it, thanks to Amazon. Another challenge to industrial-age business models, of which the established publishing industry is a classic example. Let the market speak!
