Doug Vining Tweeting for Tunisia

Once again we are seeing the rise of the individual in loosely coupled groups, against the establishment that seeks to retain control. This reminds me of one of the central memes in our new Theme presentation, Naked Leadership: Breaking the Illusion of Control.

Like the Orange revolution and the Iranian protests, the internet is helping Tunisians spread the word and mobilize their communities. How long before Facebook brings down government in a day, and the Pirate Party takes power? What do you think? Is this crazy talk, or the new digital "flower power" groundswell? Who's old enough to remember the slogan "Make love not war"?

Anton Musgrave Can Obama do it again?

Almost 4 years ago we were shown the power of collaborative networked politics. Much water has passed under the bridge since then, including a number of serious political protests using the power of crowd networking and engagement. Billions in 'value' have been created by the leading social media businesses. The question is whether this is a fad that has passed or is there the 'next step' in terms of its evolution and market relevance? Today Obama launched his latest presidential campaign and its associated social media plan. Time will tell if it can once again surprise us in its power to align, engage, garner support and drive real decisions.

Anton Musgrave Super spreaders build quantum relationships

Companies need to understand how to connect more powerfully and authentically with their market place. its drives growth, loyalty and enables collaboration in ways yet to be understood fully. A new category of business drivers is emerging - so-called 'super-spreaders. These highly and widely connected people are out there - the question is how connected is your organisation and how do you leverage that to collaborate, build powerful new relationships and drive your business growth potential?

Anton Musgrave Classic lessons in the power of connectedness and the demise of old power structures

Ever wondered how Donald Trump and Bernie Saunders became so successful? It's because the old party power structures lost control of how delegates connected and communicated (using unconventional language, ideas and views) with individual voters! Power has shifted to the people, people...have we learnt nothing from Tahir Square...just a few blocks from where I am writing this note?
