Anton Musgrave Cyber attack on the increase

Yet another admission in the line of examples over the past few weeks of serious cyber attacks on a key institution. These must surely be causing serious alarm bells in the corridors of state security offices around the world. This new vulnerability is extremely worrying as it happens by unprecedented stealth, goes to the heart of an institution and is potentially more damaging than any double agent ever was in the cold war. Security and legal systems are falling behind cyber crime advances. Global regulatory bodies are moribund and increasingly irrelevant in the modern era.

The world needs fast, effective and potent responses to these new threats to our future.

Doug Vining Committing virtual genocide

In a virtual world, is it a real crime to unleash an attack that creates wholesale destruction of characters? Is it virtual genocide, or just a prank? Sometimes the exploit can have serious commercial consequences.

This MindBullet suggested this might happen in March 2012 - well, it happened a few months later, so that's a pretty good call!

Anton Musgrave Block-chain being recognised as commercially powerful!

Week by week, we read of initiatives to harness the inherent power of the block-chain, originally core to Bitcoin. But this is not only about crypto-currencies, but much more about a secure, virtual, asset register of the future!

Anton Musgrave Robo Soldiers, Drones...future of warfare should be different!

As automation reaches the military, we should see a dramatic shift in warfare and a massive drop in traditional arms manufacturers. But will we? Is the lobby and stranglehold too strong? Who will be disrupted??
