Doug Vining Organic vs Commercial food

It's been the view of some that organic food is a nice idea, but it's really only the affluent societies that can afford it, or care enough. I'm not in favour of pumping animals full of hormones or inhumane breeding of chickens, but farming is a business, and high production rates are necessary to feed the global seven billion.

We posed the scenario some years back with this MindBullet that commercial farming is not necessarily bad - now this study reported in New Scientist proves the point!
