Peter Naegeli Smart Luggage and delays

An excellent and very relevant topic (delays) which should be recognised as one of the biggest threats for the airline industry.

Next in line will possibly the introduction of a smart chip in the passengers with updated and actual information on the traveleer "the I'm definitely ok chip". 99% of the passengers happen to be ok and they are happy to declare it. 1% are potentially doubtful

Perhaps you can also have a look at the MindBullet: IBM/SONY LAUNCH UNDER-SKIN CHIP. Eventually most objects and people will be interconnected by 'chips'. Anything that makes flying more pleaseant and convenient will be a big market success!

Doug Vining Smart luggage arrives

Almost a decade ago we published this MindBullet about smart suitcases, and now the real products have arrived. Most of them allow tracking from your smartphone and can include a power bank to charge your devices on the move. They also weigh themselves. But they still don't press or clean your clothes.

I like the one that follows you around like a personal drone, though I suspect it's pretty heavy and can't climb stairs!
