Very interesting reading.

Missing in your "after ash" vision is one of my favourites, the ultra high speed Tango-Cargo-Train (TCT) connecting from Patagonias Tierra de Fuego – a) West-leg: Santiago de Chile-Panama-San-Francisco-Vancover and - b) East leg: Buenos Aires-Sao Paolo-Rio-Miami-Washington-New York-Montreal.
