Glasses for everything

Recognizing everyday objects is a key skill for computers in providing useful augmented reality apps. In some respects, facial recognition is easier than identifying random objects, as faces are as unique as fingerprints.

Google glass could ultimately become powerful enough to help someone with impaired vision get around or read signs. Using the power of the cloud, of course, which is where smart mobile and wearable devices come into their own.
