The robot internet

We have already developed robots (or cobots) that can learn to do simple jobs by imitating humans. You can teach the Baxter robot how to pack a box, and it will continue on its own.

But what if intelligent robots can use machine learning and problem solving to figure things out for themselves, and then teach other robots the new tricks? That could be the start of a scenario we published a year ago - the robot internet, where robots are delivered like a new laptop, blank except for their operating system. They just connect to the robonet and download all the knowledge they require, perhaps even on the fly.
