When AI makes mistakes, the stakes can be high

Recently Amazon's facial recognition system mistakenly identified members of congress as wanted criminals, but they weren't arrested. When we put too much reliance on technology, we leave ourselves vulnerable to errors of method, like mistakes in an Excel spreadsheet could cause you to make bad decisions. It's important to always keep a bit of scepticism handy, and ask yourself: "Do you trust this computer?"
