California goes carbon-free, eventually

By 2045, the California Assembly wants 100 percent of the state’s electricity to come from carbon-free sources. Regulators say they could achieve the 50% mark by the end of 2020, a decade earlier than expected.

Personally I favour Tesla solar roof style generation over massive solar farms, but I guess they're going to use both, plus lots of wind turbines.
