You couldn't make this up...

The US financial claws are out for WikiLeaks too. Presumably due to government pressure (real or anticipated) Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and Amazon have now refused to route funds or support WikiLeaks but they don't seem to have trouble supporting organizations like the Ku Klux Klan and various fascist movements.

On the other hand the US government today announced that it will host the World Press Freedom Day in 2011!

"In order to prove its commitment to expand press freedom and the free flow of information in this digital age, the US will host UNESCO's 'World Press Freedom Day' event in May next year, it has been officially announced.
"UNESCO is the only UN agency with the mandate to promote freedom of expression and its corollary, freedom of the press.
"The US places technology and innovation at the forefront of its diplomatic and development efforts."

If anyone had written a MindBullet with this stark contrast between reality and government-speak they would have been ridiculed!
