Laser 'eyes' for robot cars

For driverless cars, and robots, sensors that keep them aware of what's happening around them, at speed, are critical if they are to function safely and effectively. Cameras are great up to a point, and lidar is far more accurate, but expensive. As we pointed out in our MindBullet last year, new tech invariably follows Moore's law as it gets mainstream adoption, and plummets in cost. Exponential thinking - that's what Luminar is aiming at.
