A step closer to general AI

We've published MindBullets in the past on the differences between Basic AI, Emergent AI and General AI, which is widely regarded as the point where machines achieve the level of intelligence that they can learn on their own, and extrapolate that learning to novel situations, much like humans can.

Z Advanced Computing (ZAC) has now announced that they have demonstrated this for the first time, with a system designed to recognise subtle differences in types of shoe, after only a small sample set as training. ZAC believes this is the "holy grail of AI".
